Children’s Mock Lock-In

prayer chain

Friday, January 29th, 6-11 p.m. children aged 6-11 are invited to a Mock Lock-In for fun games and learning with a focus on prayer.

We’ll explore many unique ways to encounter God in prayer and we’ll celebrate the ways we, as a congregation, practice prayer. We’ll learn together some ancient prayer practices and create some of our own unique prayer experiences. Weather permitting, we’ll even embark on a prayer walk and spend some time praying for people and places in and around our community. If the weather prevents the walk, we’ll still spend some time in prayer for these places, but we’ll have to get creative in how they are represented in our worship space.

Food will be provided. We’ll build our own pizzas. If your child has a food allergy or an aversion to certain types of foods, please let us know so we can make sure we have everyone’s needs covered.

Please let us know if your child/children would like to participate in this fun-filled, learning event.

College students will soon be returning to the classroom, walking through cold weather, snow and rain to classes, dorms, libraries and jobs. Now would be a nice time to send them cards of love and encouragement from their church family…maybe even stuffed with a gift card for local restaurants or music downloads, but thoughts and prayers are really welcomed too!  If you are interested, please contact the church office for addresses.
