Prayer

Prayer is the evidence of faith.

The absence of prayer is the absence of faith.

Thus, prayer is the essential component

   in a life of the active Christian.

Do you consider yourself a religious person?

   If you pray you are a religious person.

 

We pray seven times in worship on Sunday.

   There is hope that the gathered believers

      will move out into the world

      with a prayer in their hearts

      and a desire to contact the Holy

         throughout the week.

 

We have begun a prayer group

   which will meet on Monday mornings

   in the chapel and will be led by Ruth Miller.

Ruth is a recently retired school librarian

   who believes prayer matters.

You are invited to come and pray for

   the prayer list from Sunday,

   plus any other names which 

   come to our attention.

You will not be asked to pray aloud or

   to do anything 

      you are not comfortable doing.

 

We don't expect the group to be large.

But Jesus said, "Where two or three

   are gathered together, I am there."

 

Come join us Monday at 11 in the chapel.
