Jeff's Journal

Dedication and consecration.

   We take time to recognize our progress,

      to celebrate and to give thanks.

   We dedicate the work done

      on the Renovation Project

         to God's purposes.

   We consecrate this sacred space

      to be used to nourish the soul,

      to feed the body and to provide

         space to learn and to worship.

 

This work was done by the people of God

   to serve the community of faith

      and the world.

"Welcoming all God's people,"

   is not just a slogan,

      but a means of extending

      the hospitality of Christ

         to those in and outside

         the church.

 

In dedicating and consecrating

   we need to remember

   that we dedicate and consecrate

      ourselves to serve Christ's church,

   to live lives of sacrifice and joy

      in Jesus name.

 

Let us move boldly into our future.
