Lent begins February 10…

The spiritual season of Lent is almost here. Lent begins February 10th with Ash Wednesday.

Then we are on a Journey to Renewal throughout the season. This journey will parallel the path to renewal we have been on since last August with the Renewal Team.

I need your help to be on a Worship Team to help plan events which will take place during Lent. (I suggest that if you want to do this that you pick up the phone right after reading this and call me.707-7886.)

Here is what I need from you:

1. Select a worship team on which you would be willing to serve.
2. Call me and volunteer.
3. Be willing to meet at least one time for one hour. There might be other tasks generated by that meeting that need to be done after the meeting.
4. Commit to attending the worship experience you helped plan.

When we gather, I will outline for you the nature of the worship experience and its general purpose.

Your role will be to offer creative insight, music, ideas, willingness to participate, resources found on the internet, etc. to the process.

You may want to do a little research on the particular day and its worship component before we gather. Come to the meeting ready to tell ME what you found and your understanding of the purpose of the day/worship experience.

I need a worship team of 3 or 4 for the following events:

            1. Ash Wednesday

            2. Palm Sunday

            3. Maundy Thursday

            4. Good Friday

            5. Easter Sunrise at Cane Ridge

            6. Easter morning

This will be a fun and exciting journey in planning worship.
