Rev. Jeff Bell
Baptized at First Christian Church, Corbin, Kentucky. Ordained June 1983 by First Christian, Somerset and the Christian Church in Kentucky at Salvisa Christian Church.
Jeff has been senior minister of FCC since 1999. He served churches in Salvisa, Wendell, North Carolina and Fort Thomas, Kentucky following his graduation from Lexington Theological Seminary.
Jeff believes the church should be connected to the community, acutely aware of the needs of the neighborhood and acquainted with its people. Further, he believes all Christians are one in Christ.
He has served on the General Board of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the U.S., the board of Christian Care Communities and is currently president of The Well advisory board and the Operation Food Basket Board in Paris. He has been married to Dr. Susan Bell, since 1977. She is Professor of Psychology at Georgetown College and a board member of the Down syndrome Association of Central Kentucky. Their son Chad is a Special Olympic's athlete and works at McDonalds Restaurant in Paris. Sarah Bell is their daughter and she is married to Matt Simpson. Sarah works for Bluegrass Mental Health Mential Retardation as a program co-ordinator in Somerset. Jeff and Susan are grandparents of Eli, who was born in 2007 and Olivia born in November of 2010.

Tracy Parker joined First Christian Church staff on June 1, 2010 after graduating from Lexington Theological Seminary in May of 2010 with a Master of Divinity degree. She serves our church as Associate Minister with primary responsibilities in ministries for and with children and youth. Tracy is a certified Children Worship & Wonder Storyteller Trainer and has a passion for this program, having been a storyteller for the past 10 years.
Tracy has served churches in London, Ky and Lexington, Ky prior to joining the ministries at First Christian. Her goals in ministry are to help others grow in faith; grow in fellowship with one another and grow in service to the church, community and world. The scripture which guides her life and ministries is Romans 8: 31-39.
Tracy has been happily married to Bob Parker for 27 years and has 3 beautiful daughters: Amanda 26, Rebecca 21 and Tabitha 15; and 2 spoiled cats: Dianna and Belle.
Dianne was born and raised in Paris, KY. She graduated from Paris High School and attended Morehead State University.
Dianne began her work at First Christian in July, 2002. Prior to that she worked many years for the Public School Systems.
She is married to Lewis and they have one son, Jeremy and one grandson, Carter Clay Stubblefield. Lewis and Dianne have lived most of their lives in Paris, Ky., but did have a 4 year stay in Boca Raton, Florida while Louie was with IBM.
Dianne's hobbies include gardening, mowing, golf and spending time with Carter. They do have 4 dogs who keep them extremely busy but are also lots of fun.
Dwana, was born and raised in Center, Colorado.
She attended Morehead State University and graduated with an Instrumental Music teaching degree, and later a Master's Degree in Flute Performance from the University of Kentucky.
Dwana assisted her late husband, Dan Eberlein , with the Bourbon County band programs and also taught at the School for the Performing Arts in Lexington, Ky. Dwana has taught flute and saxophone at Berea College for the past 29 yeas. She been owner of Hurst Music, Inc. for the past 13 years.
Dwana began conducting the First Christian Church Choir in 1994 and married tenor Tommy Stevens in 2008.
Dwana and Tommy live in a home off Georgetown Road in Paris that overlooks Houston Creek along with their 3 cats.
Our organist who brings forth Joyful Noise. Liz graduated from Georgetown College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Liz began playing for church services as a teenager at First Christian Church in Lebanon, KY. She and her husband David have lived in Paris since 1992. They have four grown children. David, the oldest son, owns a web design business and is married to Elizabeth Lonneman. They live in Louisville and have a son, also named David. Katy resides in Chicago and is a writer. Sarah is a registered nurse who lives in Lexington. John Mark is a student at Eastern Kentucky University and will graduate in May 2011. He plans to attend graduate school.
Substitute Organist, Choir Director
Born in Lexington. Doris has lived in the same house in Paris since 1953. She graduated from Paris High School and will retire from Paris Independent Schools later this year. She is the mother of two sons, John (deceased), and Jimmy who is a barber in Lexington. Jimmy lives with Doris and the two of them have a black pug, Bodhi.
Charlotte was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with Bachelor & Masters degrees in Elementary Education. Charlotte taught for 20 years in the Paris Independent School System. She has also been the bookkeeper and office manager for 36 years for her husband at their thoroughbred farm (Katalpa Farm) in Bourbon County.
Charlotte began has financial secretary for First Christian Church in 2003. At First Christian she has been moderator and secretary of the Board, chairman of the Christian Education Committee, an elder, a deacon and Sunday school teacher for 28 years.
Charlotte is married to Lonnie Owens and has two daughters. Aaron is a pediatric dietician at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Lauren is married to Todd Martin and is an accountant in Savannah, Georgia. Charlotte enjoys walking, tennis, pickleball and cooking.
Amanda Hagen has been the nursery attendant at First Christian Church for 5 years, now. She is married to Ryan Hagen and they have two wonderful children: Kirsten and Karson, who are both actively involved in the ministries of the church. Karson is active in church school and serves the church as acolyte. Kirsten is active in church school and the youth ministries of the church.
Amanda received a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Kentucky University and has many years experience working with young children. She feels truly blessed to be a part of the lives of the children of First Christian Church and watching them as they grow.
