Department Responsibilities (As approved by the General Board on May 10, 1994)

  1. Coordinate with other departments to determine need for all church staff, except full time ministers, and to initiate action to employ or terminate such staff by making recommendations to the General Board.
  2. Establish written job descriptions for each staff position and coordinate with appropriate departments to assure that all job descriptions are kept current and accurate.
  3. Review annually with other departments compensation provided all staff members, and develop proposed budget for department based on duties, performance, and projected funds available.
  4. Act as a channel of communication with ministers, other staff members, and members of the congregation.
  5. Submit a proposed budget for this department.
