Love letters…

loce stamp
You will get a love letter next week. (This sounds like a horoscope or the contents of a fortune cookie.)

Really. You will receive a love letter at your home.

The letter will be from Jim Lovell, but don’t panic.

The letter is really from the church. It is asking for over-and-above giving to the budget between now and the end of July.

In the harsh winter, the church loved us all enough to keep the parking lot scraped for safety and accessibility into the building at all times.

The church loved us enough to pay for extra heat and electricity to keep the building comfortably warm.

The church loved us enough to insure needed repairs and maintenance were performed on and in the building.

The church loved our youth enough to make sure every young person could attend camp regardless of ability to pay.

The church is accountable enough to try and pay a large annual insurance payment in August to save us all thousands of dollars.

Regular giving to the church has remained steady as compared to last year. But expenses have increased.

We need your help.

The letter will request over-and-above gifts in addition to your regular giving.

The over-and-above gifts will need to be marked to indicate an over-and-above gift is being made.

Read your letter and while you are reading it, remember that all we do is in the name of the living and loving Savior who is Christ our Lord.

You will be receiving a love letter next week.

Please respond in kind out of your love for the church as you are able.

Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
