Mission Trip Blessings

Sunday, June 1st, we will have a commissioning service for all youth and adults traveling to Oklahoma for the upcoming Mission Trip. Each individual going on this journey will be paired up with a prayer partner who will covenant to hold their partner in prayer each day we are away. We will gladly receive all your offered prayers, but if you are willing to be a specific prayer partner, please let us know at the church office and we will provide you with an individual’s name and a brief biography and photograph.

Apologies are in order. There was a bit of confusion between the clergy staff last Sunday regarding the special collection for the mission trip. We each thought the other one would be leading that endeavor. We had a good laugh over it, but now we need to make up for lost opportunities. We will have that proposed Love Offering collection this Sunday following the blessing service. Youth and adults participating in the mission trip will pass the collection plates for offerings specifically for the mission trip.

We will also have 2 hand painted rain barrels for sale in Fellowship Hall. Haley Smart has shared her talents to decorate beautiful yard art that will help keep your lawns and gardens luscious through the hot, dry spells of late summer. Stop by Fellowship Hall to place your bid on these beautiful works of art. Bidding will cease on June 5th. Two more rain barrels will be available at a later date. Minimum bids will be $100.

Your love, prayers and support for this mission experience is greatly appreciated. The opportunities you provide our youth have the potential to foster in them a lifetime willingness to serve. I know the memories they make and the people they serve will linger in their hearts for a lifetime.

Blessings,
Tracy
