The Christmas Experience

Join us during Advent for a study on the miraculous event of that first Christmas. The Son of God comes to humanity in the midst of a chaotic time in history, to a poor couple, from this no-where town in the most unlikely of places. These events remind us that when things do not go according to our plans or life does not move in an orderly fashion, God still works to accomplish divine purposes in our lives.

 

Christmas is not just about singing carols, decorating the house or church and exchanging gifts…it is about a radical event in human history when God tore apart reality and came to us through this infant, born in the lowest of circumstances, who grew to completely change the world forever out of an immense love for humankind. 

 

During the season of Advent, participating classes will meet in Fellowship Hall to view a video clip related to the movie and then break out into our classroom discussion groups. Viewing the movie prior to our first class would enrich your study experience.

 

We are in need of individuals willing to host viewing sessions in their home or in Fellowship Hall prior to the first Sunday of Advent. Please see Tracy to schedule a date and time for viewing so your session can be advertised adequately and so participants will have multiple opportunities to see the film in its entirety before the group study begins.
