Climbing the Mountain
Theme for the week: Climbing the mountain
(see below)
Climbing the mountain of personal growth
contains steps and footholds
of a spiritual nature
only accessible by faith.
The journey is toward wholeness
and away from a fragmented
and broken life.
This is the journey
when you find what is lost,
where healing follows wounding and
how you will find the path
that will lead you home.
Look and see that there are 40 “stones”
or footholds on this mountain,
matching the 40 days of Lent.
There is no particular order.
Contemplate them as you will.
Meditate on these “living stones.”
Imagine this “mountain” made
of children’s building blocks.
Remove one Biblical principle
and the integrity of the rest
will be compromised.
This glorious mountain
is the essence of the good life.
There is nothing else like it
in all the world.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
