Contemplating Summer

wkdh10     It's hard to think of the beautiful days of summer when our temperatures are taking a nose-dive, but it is that time again…

Time to get ready for the church Summer Camp Season!!

We have many youth who would like to participate in the summer camping season. If you would like to donate to help send a kid to camp, please designate your contribution as "Summer Camp Scholarships." Pricing for week-long camps are $210 and $230 for Eighter's Camp. Weekend camp fees are $50 and Junior camp fees are $175.

If you know of a child or youth who would like to attend camp, please see Tracy Parker for more information or visit: http://www.ccinky.net/outdoor-ministries/

If you would like to help make the summer camp program a success by donating to Camp Wakon Da Ho, here is a list of a few items needed:

Basket Balls Soccer Balls Volley Balls
Kick-Balls Hula Hoops Decks of Cards
Craft Items Cleaning Supplies All Sizes of Storage Bins
Beads Thread–craft Sodas & Candy for Canteen
Tools for Repairs Stainless Steel Flatware & Money Always helps!

Camp Wakon Da Ho is also in need of replacing all the cookware for the camp kitchen. They received a lower health inspection rating at the end of last year because the cookware was pitted. Evidently this puts the camp kitchen at risk because the pots and pans cannot be properly sterilized. They MUST replace the pots and pans with commercial-quality pots and pans to begin the camp season. The Regional Office requests money donated specifically for this purchase so the correct equipment can be purchased. If you are interested in helping the camp in this capacity and would like more information, please see Tracy Parker or contact Mike McColl with the Regional Office.

Blessings,
Tracy
