Created to Be Me

Psalm 139: 

O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
     you discern my thoughts from far away.
You search out my path and my lying down,
     and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
     O Lord, you know it completely. 

Day 2 of Just Say Know! Created to Be Me camp…
     The rain has passed on and the sun came out to greet us. The laughter still flows…but today less nervously. Hoola Hoops were spun, tossed, rolled down the hills and the new Four Square court got a good workout. Names are not only remembered, but nick-names are starting to emerge. The bonds of friendship are being forged and kids that are not usually prone to giggles now do so with gusto!

     This is only one of the benefits of Eighter's Camp. As Eighters we learn that each of us, male and female, are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. We've learned that as divinely created beings, loving and respecting ourselves as such not only gives honor to God, but gives honor to ourselves and to all those in our lives who love us as divinely created being. We've also learned that as human beings are created divine, we are incredibly human and prone to making mistakes occasionally. But, just as God went with Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, God travels these difficult paths of mistakes with us as well. 

AND this is only the third day! What a week we have ahead of us!!
