Fundraising for Youth Mission Trips

We are moving rapidly toward the time when our middle school youth will travel to Heifer Project International in Arkansas and later our high school youth will fly to Puerto Rico, both to learn lessons of compassionate outreach to the world. These are potentially life changing experiences, which may possibly help young people make vocational choices. Their hands on experience may build a level of excitement about issues relating to human need in the world.

The congregation has supported the fundraising efforts of the young people and to this point over $5,000 has been raised toward a goal of $12,000. Most of the $5,000 was raised on February 15, at a dinner and auction held in the fellowship hall. We are grateful for the generous outpouring of support and encourage those of you who have not had the privilege of giving to these worthy projects to do so.
