Gifts to the Savior
Pajamas, candy, blue jeans, pictures, UK stuff, suspenders, alternative giving gifts, a bonus from the church and more.
Christmas giving is a lot of fun, getting things you have asked for and giving things others need and will enjoy.
What may be just as important as getting the gift is being grateful for it and understanding how the gift will help you serve in the kingdom of God in 2017.
We now begin the next phase of our renewal effort. There are four areas of study and implementation we will pursue.
The four areas for Evangelism and Outreach are:
- Greeting
- Welcoming
- Invitation
- Inclusion
We will gather to discuss how we most effectively extend first impressions to our guests, and to each other, for that matter.
We will try and perfect the art of welcome which is warm and genuine, but not intrusive.
We will monitor who has been invited to participate and how they have responded to the invitation.
We will ask, “Have we made an effective effort to fully include each new and long term member in the active ministry of the church?”
This will be work.
We need you to help.
When you hear of our meeting dates, please come join us. This is no longer just the task of the Renewal Committee.
Come join us for our discussions, help make our plans and then commit to the long term renewal plan for our church.
Those are priceless gifts to give the Savior whose birth we have just celebrated.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
