HUGE Thank You!
THANK YOU!
To everyone who helped to make this year's Pre-Easter Egg Hunt such a huge success! Over 100 people gathered in the fellowship hall for dinner and dying Easter Eggs. Paula Marcum and a huge Kitchen crew fed our guests hot dogs, chips, desserts and lemonade and then cleaned up our mess afterwards.
The weather was dry and sunny and allowed us to have a great time on the church lawn watching all the little ones hunt the eggs the FCC youth scattered about. After the egg hunt we gathered back in the fellowship hall to meet, pet and get pictures taken with McGhee the bunny rabbit that came to visit. George Kissick offered his photographic talents by taking photos of each child who visited.
Afterwards, we all gathered in the sanctuary to hear Mary Lovell tell the Easter story from a first-person perspective, which made the event come to life! One of my greatest joys was to witness one of the hispanic children whisper his translation of the story to his mother as Mary spoke the words!
So many who shared in this celebration were not members of our church. They were visitors from the community who took gift bags with goodies and information about our church home with them, which Myra and Jeff Miller and Marilyn Campbell helped produce. What an incredible outreach opportunity! Please remember all our visitors in prayer, that they too may experience the risen Christ and have a family of faith to call their own this Easter season.
