“I AM”

Please read Mark 1:14-20

Focus for a minute, on the presence of Jesus with you in your life.

When I pray and visualize Jesus present, there is a powerful connection between us. I can feel his love and know his discerning presence.

In this prayer visualization, he never speaks. He is just the great “I AM.”

I have always wondered about his physical presence in Galilee and Judea.

Here, he approaches Simon and Andrew. They are busy working. Yet, he speaks and they listen.

He calls them to follow him and it says they did so immediately.

I can only imagine, Jesus' love for them, his personal warmth, his broad smile and  his ability to engage anyone with a word or two, quickly.

He looked into the souls of Simon and Andrew and, I suppose, they felt the touch of God and were overcome with a joy I cannot put into words.

How else could you explain the magnetic attraction that left them standing at his side and later walking away with him and the new life to which they had been called?
