The special Christmas offering has been outstanding so far. You gifts will go to give a boost to several families and individuals whose situations are known to us in detail. We will receive the offering again this Sunday. Simply mark your checks "for Christmas offering".

Our young people will present a Christmas program this Sunday evening. It will be accompanied by a potluck fellowship meal. The meat and bread will be provided. This event is for the whole congregation, not just the families of the children in the play. Please make plans to come and enjoy Christmas with your friends in Christ.

We owe George Kissick a big thank you for preparing the "picture show" for Wonderful Wednesday. Over fifty pictures and hints have been collected and we will guess who they are tomorrow night. It is going to be a lot of fun especially with emcees Bob Barker Parker and Tracy Barker Parker. Also, George has become our church historian. If you have church artifacts please contact him to arrange to have them displayed or archived or both.

A very special thank you to those who turned in a pledge card as an act of Christian stewardship and to support the budget for 2012. The Board will meet Thursday night in a called meeting to discuss and possibly approve the budget.

Christmas falls on a Sunday this year. It is such a busy time for everyone, and yet, the very reason we celebrate Christmas is the birth of Christ our Lord. Will you make time on Christmas day to come worship? I invite you to allow your child to bring one of the toys they will unwrap that morning. We will bless the toys and encourage them to be thankful for it and prepare to share what they have with others. If your children want to come to church in their pajamas, let them.
