Merri Mysteries Presents: “The Search for the Truth”
It seems as though we have a mystery on our hands! Peter Stein, our beloved camp director, is seriously ill…apparently he was poisoned! While it is clear there was no intent to commit murder, his symptoms are so severe we must investigate to discover who performed this dastardly deed. If we can figure out the poison, we might be able to administer the antidote and return our dear Peter back to his clip-board and whistle and complete our weekend retreat and our search for Truth!
Peter, our darling garden gnome and dessert connoisseur, is coping admirably with his illness, but we must find out what he ate, and soon, to administer the antidote before he becomes dehydrated. The most likely culprit would be his much-loved Haggen Daaz ice cream, but it could have been pretty much anything. If it were something served at one of our camp meals, then it may only be a matter of time before another in our party comes down with symptoms. If anyone is experiencing stomach cramps, fainting spells, vomiting or diarrhea, please notify the police department.
Peter was plagued by the rise in youth killings in the past few years and has taken his call to help lead and guide kids into more loving, non-violent ways to deal with their problems seriously. That is why he returns to our camp year-after-year, to try to be a better influence on teens. His most recent discernment process has lead him to make radical statements about violence in the media and he has begun a campaign denouncing the negative influencing culprits, such as: wrestling, football, foos ball and competitive games in general, karate and other martial arts, as well as watching martial arts films, rock music, especially heavy metal, violent films and movies such as Austin Powers flicks and Monty Python movies, and eating mind-altering substances such as chocolate.
Peter felt we should all focus more on God and strive to be purer in heart. It is for this reason he advocates for listening only to classical music and living a more Godly life. It seems his views were not appreciated by everyone, so someone sought to get Peter out of the way so they could continue living their Godless ways! Which one of our suspects are so heartless, so self-serving, so devious, they could do such a horrible thing to a great humanitarian and servant of God?
Join us Saturday evening, May 17th at 6 p.m. for dinner and a fun time of fellowship as we seek to solve this mystery and get to know all the suspects up close and personal!
(Don’t worry, we’ve kept a close eye on all of them! Your food is safe and promises to be delicious!)
Blessings,
Tracy
