Moving forward…

Our church Board meeting on August 9th approved by consensus two proposals.

The first proposal was to begin a process of engaging worship teams of folks from the church  to plan worship six months in advance. Everyone is invited to be on a team and will be trained and then led by the ministers. Youth, guests, new members, everyone will have something to bring to the table as we plan worship.

The second proposal was from the Evangelism and Outreach Sub team of the Renewal Team. This proposal outlines a process by which we will track each guest’s connection to the church from greeting to welcome to invitation to inclusion.

This proposal is to become the new number one priority of the church, reflected in how much time we give the report at Board meetings and how we implement this proposal each week in the life of the church.

Again, anyone is welcome to join this new effort. A kickoff date will be announced soon and we will get to work implementing new ways of hospitality.

The outreach portion of the priority is ongoing; however, we will be encouraging new, creative and sometimes spontaneous ideas about how we can impact the life of the community in a positive way.
