Please read John 12:1-8
A lot hinges on this question. How you worship him determines how you serve him. How you worship him defines the depth of your spiritual friendship with him.
How you worship him, determines the measure of sacrifice you are willing to make for him.
Mary responded instinctively. During the meal, she knelt on the floor and anointed his feet, wiping them with her hair.
The ointment was unreasonably costly. But then, so was the life that he would give for her.
Jesus, who worked tirelessly for the poor, approved.
This would foreshadow his washing of the disciple's feet. The nard which was left,
would be used for his body in the tomb.
The house filled with the aroma of sacrificial love and human adoration.
Do you adore him like Mary did? How will you "anoint" him with your sacrificial love?
