Prayers

A hail of bullets shattered the early Sunday morning peace two blocks from the church on July 16th. Apparently one woman was hit and taken to the hospital in an ambulance and two arrived by car later.

The shooting took place outside a club opened in the last several months. Beyond that, I do not know many things about the shooting.

I do not know what prompted the shooting, whether it targeted individuals or was random.

I do not know if the shooters were known criminals or people who were just “packing” and “ready to shoot” people who “offended” them.

I do not know the names of the victims or the shooters.

I do not know if they will close the club for a while or permanently or at all.

I do know the Paris City Manager posted a video message on Facebook, basically saying that the investigation is ongoing and that he could not comment on the specifics, but that the desire is that Paris will return to being a safe community.

Here is what we can do:

            Pray for those injured.

            Pray for the shooters.

            Pray for the owner of the club who may not have have had anything to do with the shooting.

            Pray for the Paris Police and any other investigator  involved.

            Pray for the community.
