Quilt & Knit Retreat
July 10-13, 2017
Lake Cumberland 4H Leadership Center
Jabez, Kentucky
Gathered worship times anchor our work in prayer. We share our stories of faith and handwork. You are encouraged to share a special story related to an item you have made. Time is offered for personal devotion and reflection. In this set-aside environment, we recognize that our creative abilities as both gifts from God and gifts to be offered to God in service.
Pack up a selection of projects and the supplies needed to work with on them (sewing machines, hoops, needles, irons, yarn, fabric, paper, wool, scissors, patterns, looms, etc.) Space is provided for each person to set up their own little “project corner.” Bring finished projects to share with the group and tell the stories of your work. We also share service projects, patterns and ideas.
Intentional time and space for enjoying and engaging on favorite handwork….quilting, knitting, crochet, Needlework, Cross Stitch, Scrapbooking, Doodling, Doll Making, and Felting…so far. Women who participate bring choose their own handwork focus for 2 ½ days and work in their own time and interest.
