The Soul
When the word soul is mentioned, I can’t help but resurrect a picture of the Blues Brothers singing “I’m a Soul Man.”
They had a little dance that went with it. It wasn’t a religious song.
However, things that aren’t overtly religious, often have the seeds of “soulfulness” within them.
The point of having a soul is to say that on our good days and bad days, on days of strong faith and days when we don’t pay God much attention, we remain “soul men and soul women.”
The soul is the contact point for all that matters to God. To be sure the mind and heart have discourse with the soul, but the soul is where we become the person we are.
The soul shapes and colors our choices.
The soul processes praise and joy.
The soul is the conscience of each life.
The soul is what waits on God.
Have you fed your soul today?
Moving to the deeper places,
