Stewardship
It’s not about the money.
We come upon a time where we will think about and discuss Christian stewardship and how we are able to support the mission and ministry of First Christian in the year 2015.
This will take money, but it is not all about the money.
Stewardship is about gratitude. “God is great, God is good… by his hands we are fed…”
Have you ever taken a bite of food which did not come via seed and soil? Even cattle graze, and rely on hay and grains for food.
Have you ever taken a breath or felt your heart beating in your chest, and expressed your gratitude?
There is so much which is ours, that we did not create.
Stewardship is gratitude.
We will gather Sunday, November 23rd, for a catered lunch. After the lunch there will be a panel discussion by those who have been steady, prayerful and generous stewards of their resources to the church.
They will discuss what it means to them to give to the church intentionally, regularly and theologically.
