Strolling…
The first thing I saw was photos from a person on a business trip to Czechoslovakia. I remember the cold war and the communist occupation of this satellite nation. Now we are doing business with them.
Reflecting on our renewal effort I found this quote: If you are going to answer the call and you are going to transform and you’re going to change, get ready. It is not a day at the beach.
There is a picture of a national cemetery with the neat white headstones for veterans, each with a flag placed by it. This recalls both of my parents headstones and the sacrifice they made for our country.
There are glorious photos of one of our graduates at graduation and with the family afterwards.
There is a prayer request for a child having heart surgery.
There is a photo from the past remembering a lost loved one.
I discovered that the Tech Committee has now posted two sermons on you tube.
While Facebook can be a terrible waste of time, there are also moments of education and enlightenment, ways of seeing the world through a different lens and tender moments of remembrance and hope.
