Thanks Be to God!
Oh, to be able to thank God that he created day and night, and for the cow's moo and the cat's meow.
Then to say thanks for the taste of cranberry and turkey too, for the colonels (13-0) and the Greyhounds who made it to the playoffs coached by "Boo."
And for gratitude for the laughter of Sam and the fulfillment of dreams and hope for tomorrow and joy in the present.
Can you be thankful for the beauty of barren trees the variegated poinsettia and being able to remember things the way you want to instead of the way they really were.
For calling someone's name and seeing them smile, for someone who knows the history, then the person who has a vision for the future.
For the person who says, "Be cautious," balanced by the person who says, "Be bold."
For the ability to pray for anyone, anywhere, anytime and to anticipate and watch how God is at work in and through them.
For the length of each day which could be filled with nothing but thanksgiving we are deeply grateful.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
