The Challenges

The challenges of the gospel are radical.

The faith is demanding.

Sacrifice is part of the calling to follow Jesus.

Generosity, even in the midst of poverty is taught.

Forgiving those who have no desire to be forgiven is a lesson.

Loving those who are difficult to love must be tried.

Working for peace and ending war is a priority.

Welcoming all God’s people is required.

We are invited to take up our cross and follow him.

Why would anybody become a follower of Jesus under these conditions?
