The Renovation Project is over.
Still, there is cleaning
underway.
All pictures have not been hung.
Every single piece of furniture
is not back in place.
But you can tell we are finished.
with all things construction.
The kitchen is furnished with
stainless steel tables,
a casserole warner,
a freezer and two matching refrigerators.
The kitchen is all paid for.
Bright new white tables and chairs
were paid for and are now in place.
Several large dumpsters have been filled
with our junk and hauled away.
You will be amazed at the look
of the basement, which will now be
fit for storing things we do not
want upstairs.
We have a family who wants to
provide something related to the arts
for our church.
We will approach them about restoring
our world class grand piano
and placing it near the choir
in the sanctuary.
Many other smaller projects were done
in conjunction with the renovation.
We believe that we saved money
since the workers were already here.
Many people are already using
the parts of the building
made to provide easier access
for those with physical limitations.
The elevator is used several times a week.
Most Sunday School classes have moved up-stairs and there is a bevy of activity
in education each Sunday.
Visitors to the church who have been here
before, are amazed at the transformation.
We have made great progress in
“Welcoming all God’s people.”
Now, let’s celebrate.
Plan to come to dedication Sunday on March 6.
Bring everybody you know with you.
Let us know if you want the church to invite
certain people to the event.
There will be special music, a meal, tours and
dedications of the whole project, the stained glass,
the kitchen and the chapel.
It will be a great day.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
