The Season of Prayer

Our Season of Prayer begins Sunday, September 6, during worship.

The Season of Prayer will last throughout the fall, ending in November.

The purpose for this is for each individual to deepen their connection to God and Jesus Christ.

Further, we hope that prayers will bear good fruit for renewal of First Christian.

We will accomplish this season in several ways:

1. The chapel will become "The Prayer Chapel."

2. We will organize a Chain of Prayer which will be daily, 12-2 and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m.

3. Prayer stations will be created in the chapel.

4. Creative prayer exercises will be used in worship.

5. A prayer booklet will be given to each person.

6. You will have the opportunity to focus your prayers by receiving and exchanging names.

7. Prayer groups will be formed.

Prayer cards will encourage us to capture God's creative spirit for FCC for further consideration of new and "refreshed" ways to do the work of God here.

The Renewal Team will continue to meet and discuss ideas. The congregation will be brought into the process to discern God's deepest desires for us in these  days and times.

And there will be more.
