There is dawn in the making…
One day fades at dusk, then comes rest.
The light dims as hope rises as sleep calls us home.
Our rhythms set as the world spins; we quietly yield to chair and bed.
We “taste and see,” with each morsel, “that the Lord is good.”
Love shared multiplies, hearts are warmed, smiles broaden, life becomes of value.
Worship puts both feet on the ground, finds us a place to stand, opens hearts to human need.
Study sharpens the blade that opens the box to reveal unexpected light, hope disguised in discovery.
Friendship comes when “Come, look at this with me,” is spoken. Then, “Yes, I will see what you have there.”
Laughter brightens the soul and puts sparkle on the shine.
We seek the “goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
Holy ground is beneath us, stars speak of joy.
Deep in my soul, I believe, when we fall we will rise, that when broken we will see, that when evening comes,
there is dawn in the making.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
