Tracy's Tidbits
The Present is the Future! What a wonderful lesson we learned from our Children and Youth at last Sunday’s annual Christmas Pageant. And…what a wonderful time we had putting it all together! So much work went into the event there are numerous people whom we all owe a debt of gratitude: Doris McFarland for working with the kids to learn the music and directing music and operating the CD player the night of the play; Greg Smart for his participation in the event as well as his willingness to come to the lock-in and stay up almost all night; Jeff and Myra Miller for recording and editing the program and for slicing the CD music so the kids could sing along with the CD; to Clay Campbell and Dianne Stubblefield for setting up the chairs and tables and clearing out part of the fellowship hall for our tasting party; to Paula Marcum and Melody Smart for taking on the food and drinks part of the party and cleaning up afterwards, to Ruth Miller and Ashley Norris for coming to practices and helping the kids practice for the play and to Ruth for staying up in the choir loft and helping out the night of the play; to AnnDru and Laurel Gambill and Ashley Norris for organizing costumes for all the children; all the able bodies that helped moving furniture off the chancel and returning it afterwards (Jeff Miller here as well); Dianne Stubblefield for helping me put away all the costumes and props afterwards; and not to mention all the children and youth who came week after week, worked so hard and made the whole process such fun! Thank you to everyone who came to support our children and youth and to those who provided food and drinks for the gathering afterwards! Thank you also for allowing me to be a part of this joyous event! I’ve truly been blessed by the ministry I share with you and your children!
Blessings,
Tracy
