Tuesday, April 8 ~ The Mind of Christ

~~Philippians 2:1-2, 5
If then there is any encouragement in Christ, any consolation from love, any sharing in the Spirit, any compassion and sympathy, make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
 
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. 

~~We shall overcome, we shall overcome,
We shall overcome some day.
Oh, deep in my heart I do believe
We shall overcome some day.

The words above were on Paul's mind for the church in Philippi.  Paul knew the Philippians were having issues with division and superiority with fellow believers. 

Paul stresses that the common experience of Christ's love should unite believers and they should be of one mind and heart in Christ. Paul continues with another exhortation that since Christ first comforted us, so we should comfort one another. Paul continues to stress that if we are in fellowship with Christ, so we should be in fellowship with each other. Apostle Paul finishes Philippians 2:1-2, 5 with a call to relate to one another with tender compassion.

So we are called to be in fellowship, be a source of encouragement, comfort one another and be kind and tender hearted to all.
