24 Hours that Changed the World

24 Hours that changed the worldChristian Education Team would like to invite you to our Lenten Study: 24 Hours that Changed the World by Adam Hamilton beginning Sunday, March 9th.

We will meet in Fellowship Hall each week at 9:30 a.m. (come early for coffee, juice and breakfast!) to watch a video segment about the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life and then take part in pointed discussion about what we learn and discern together. The video portion of this study is appropriate for all ages, so children and youth are also invited to join us to view and fellowship together. After the video, the children and youth will depart to their individual classrooms for age-appropriate discussions while the adults remain in Fellowship Hall to take part in a large-group discussion.

In this study, Adam Hamilton helps us relive that one day in history that changed everything. He draws on insights from history, archaeology, geography and the Bible to help us place ourselves within the story to imagine what it would have been like to witness these incredible events. Would we have fallen asleep in the Garden? Would we have denied knowing Jesus when questioned in the crowds? Would we have joined the crowds crying ‘crucify him’? Would one of us help him carry the cross? Is there one who would have offered him love or compassion? Would you be one to cry at the foot of the cross or a witness at the tomb? Where do you see yourself in Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection?

Join us for this compelling study as we tackle the difficult questions of the past that hold important implications for the way we live today.

Blessings,
Tracy
