A life example…

Yesterday, we laid to rest a most remarkable woman. I cannot begin to tell you the whole story here. But here are the thirteen things I offered that I learned from her.

1. Never miss church.
2. Be generous. What you give blesses you as much as the one who receives. (Manage your money well so you can be
3. Never give up.
4. Not only never give up, but be wise, informed, persistent in the face of devastating news, rise above and proclaim victory.
5. You have a choice. So be happy.
6. Be fascinated with life. Be curious.
7. Learn to walk in the dark.
8. Love freely.
9. Have a mind and use it.
10. Look not at the body, look at the soul.
11. Put your hands in the good earth and see what God can do.
12. Smile a lot.
13. Finally, follow the Cats.

These are just some of the things I learned from the life example of Carol Norton.
