A number of things.
- We just completed two meetings. The result of one will be the planning of worship several months in advance. Worship teams composed of people in the congregation who are willing to engage this process will be welcome to participate in this.
- We hope to make evangelism and outreach a top priority in the life of our church. The Board will discuss this at our August Board meeting.
- Tonight we will host a Community Forum called by Chief Williams of the Paris Police department to discuss any issues which need airing in our community. This meeting was requested by Chief Williams.
- A new community services group has been convened. Each member is sharing how their agency assists those in the community and what the barriers are to adequately serving all those in need.
- We just completed a fabulous Vacation Bible School and we thank all our volunteers.
- Congratulations to Rebecca Parker and Tyler Stevens on the birth of Joan Elise Stevens. Joan is the granddaughter of Bob and Tracy Parker.
- The Disciple Men had a great time hosting a picnic for the men of Bourbon Heights last Saturday.
- Thanks to Roger Caswell and Joe Jones for sanding and refinishing the outside door of the church.
- We will offer a four week Disciple 101 course, coming soon.
- A new Sunday School class will begin sometime in September.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
