Chauffeur & "Thanks"

1. What a pleasure it was to drive our children to church camp on Monday.  We added one from Georgetown and one from Mt. Sterling on the way.  It was wonderful to see how quickly that our kids welcomed our guests.  After lunch, some of the kids were singing Christmas carols.  Then, just before we got to camp, one of our guests burst into “Hey good lookin’, whatcha got cookin’, how ‘bout cookin’ something up with me.”  He knew all the words and performed it as if on stage.  I smiled.  The youth were delivered safely and looked forward to a wonderful week with Tracy and all the others.

2. I want to offer a special thanks to all of you who hear of special needs and respond.  Whether it is with the Week of Compassion offering, camp scholarships, the technology sale, the need for an item at church or other things, thank you so very much for caring enough to hear the need and to generously respond.

3. Special thanks to the Nominating Committee for recruiting all the folks we need to lead us for the coming year.  The members of the committee were Peggy Hickman, Henry Hanna, Sue McCracken and Marie Smart.

4. An ongoing thanks to Angelino Mendez for the wonderful work he does keeping the church grounds looking spectacular.
