Creation
A time for lightening bugs fascinating the darkness with punctuating light.
Yesterday and today became models for every other day — warm, but cool, bright, clear, blue and green, walkabout weather, a day to be under the sky.
Day lilies have discovered that this is the day the Lord has made and are rejoicing and glad.
Red, white and blue hangs on the breath of summer, floating above patriots only vaguely aware that the flag is not a decoration.
Summer plans are underway; children to camp, immersion in water, floating about, travel t fresh places, social revelation through cultural absorption, superheroes and Vacation Bible School.
June.
Breaks open free time to the songs of winged warblers, wiggling worms and a warm world.
Doors thrown open into a cool sanctuary of blessing and worship, singing “Be Thou My Vision,” “Blessed Assurance” and “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.”
Graduates step into the unknown and unfamiliar world between “finished and not yet begun.”
The Creator views his creation and says, “Good. So good!”
We are beneficiaries of June in a glorious place called Kentucky.
Rejoice.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
