Don’t forget our animal companions in need this Christmas season!
At this time of our year many think of helping others, however many often forget that our animal companions need to be included. The Bible tells us:
Prov 12:10 NRSV
The righteous know the needs of their animals, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
FCC has learned of an overwhelming situation in Laurel Co, Ky in which ~200 dogs who were confiscated are being housed at the local fairground building. They have ample food, but need bottled water and treats. They desperately need volunteers to walk dogs, clean crates and feed/water. They also need temporary foster homes in Ky.
To apply to foster, go to www.bgsdr.com. Volunteers can go to the fairgrounds anytime. From 175-S, turn toward London and turn right at the flea market to get to the fairgrounds. Monetary donations can be left at the church office this week. For more info, you can also call Melissa Bowman, 859-608-8150.
