Heartfelt Generosity
Wow! What an incredible evening of worship, fellowship and fun!
Wednesday evening, February 15th, folks gathered for an Italian meal, a youth skit depicting the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, and then an auction to raise funds for our youth summer mission trips. First Christian Church obviously takes missions seriously. Or, perhaps, you take supporting the youth seriously. Or, even, you take worship and fellowship seriously. We raised over $5,000 in one night!!
I believe the truth is that First Christian Church takes all of the above seriously–and more! What a testament of your faith, love and support of one another to gather as we did on Wednesday evening. We had such a great time together and are almost half-way to our goals to fund our trips to Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas and Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
I offer to each who participated, in small ways and large, my heartfelt gratitude for your heartfelt generosity in helping us fund our summer mission experiences. I believe each of us, those staying in Paris and praying for our youth and chaperones as well as those traveling in mission, will impact the world for the better and be impacted by God through our efforts.
