Please read Acts 3:11-20a

A man has just been healed at the temple gate.

While he sought alms, Peter and John

  were  coming into the temple.

They had no money for him,

   but instead told him to stand up.

The aftermath is in 11-20a.

People were astounded

   and gave credit to Peter and John.

Peter quickly changed the focus.

   "And by faith in his name, his name

   itself has made this man strong."

We love attention. We crave it.

   But how often, as a Christian,

   do we deflect the praise and allow

   everyone to bask in the glory of

   what God has done?

There is a beautiful peace, a feeling

   of oneness in the body of Christ,

   when together, we acknowledge

   that our work is only possible by

   the gifts and grace of God.

God is at work in you. Discover how

   God is at work in you and proceed

   to do the things that you believe

   give God credit for blessings untold.
