Jeff's Journal
The Board meeting was two and a half hours long.
We listened as George Kissick and Carol Norton, from Kentucky Bank, illustrate a more streamlined method of counting offerings.
We heard an extensive Property report from Jerry.
Ellen made a recommendation on the proposed expenditure of Living Memorial money, designated for outreach and plans soon to be made for a mission trip to Alabama in the fall.
Jeff Miller, reminded us of the Technology Committee yard sale on July 16.
Myra Miller shared many creative ideas for the resurrected Membership Committee.
We heard Tracy's extensive report on the many things going on with youth ministry.
We voted Warren Hickman a voting representative for the upcoming General Assembly.
We recognized our officers and thanked them for their faithful service to the church.
There were more Board members in attendance than ever before. There was even a guest
who heard that Board meetings were open to the congregation and came.
Charlotte reported that we are doing well financially, though we do not have an overabundance of money coming in.
She reported taking less from the Living Memorial allotment to date than what has been earmarked
for the budget.
You have a great Board who are leading and guiding the church in the right direction.
Thanks be to God.
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
