We disagreed.

   On May 1, at our congregational meeting,

      we were divided on the approval of the budget for 2011.

   A notably small number of members stayed

      to discuss and vote on a budget that contained

         significant cuts for the first time in a long time.

Our vote was divided but it seemed more needed to be done.

 

We left with the promise of a Financial Workshop.

   At that workshop, Charlotte Owens, our Financial Secretary,

      Greg Smart, Chair of Stewardship, Marie Smart, our Moderator

      and myself, will present information and field questions and comments

         regarding the whole financial picture of the church.

 

The workshop will begin at 6:00 p.m. on May 24th and will last a proscribed amount of time.

   If you have questions you would like addressed and wish to

      submit them in advance, feel free to do so, by calling

         or bringing them by the church office.

            Or you may ask them at the meeting.

      Charlotte may need to look up answers to your questions in advance,

         to have the most accurate figures possible.
