Jesus was amazing.

Humility

He could cry. Read the story about Lazarus, his good friend, who died.

He could tell a tale. Look! Over here. There is a seed. Look over there! Water! Listen to this: “There were two sons and a father and a party at the end.”

He prayed.

He knew when to fall silent.

He could speak to lepers in a cave or Pharisees in the temple.

He welcomed questions. He believed in looking for what and who was lost.

He didn’t hold back. His love embraced tax collectors and other sinners, who were despised by the religious leaders.

He risked his reputation and social standing by not only telling the truth, but by being the truth.

He spoke of peace in a territory dominated by Roman storm troopers.

Jesus empowered people to ask, seek and knock, to obtain what God rightfully wanted for them.

Jesus was savior, healer, visionary and friend.

Because of him, I am a believer, a follower, a committed disciple.
