Joy, joy, joy…
Please read Psalm 84:1-4; 10-12
“How lovely is your dwelling place.”
“My soul longs, indeed it faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.”
Youth and children come today for the baptism class. We will tell them the story of the Lord, who loves them beyond our capacity to fully understand.
Joy, joy, joy.
We are offering them the bread of life, the living waters and telling the stories of the Good shepherd who protects his sheep.
We will surround them with compassion, lift them up with encouragement and teach them the lessons of faith.
We will teach them why the Psalmist would say, “How lovely is your dwelling place.”
Is there another place as wonderful as the church? We receive anyone who comes. We bless their presence with welcome and prayer. They become part of the body of Christ.
We will provide every opportunity for these young people to grow in the faith and help them achieve lives of significance in love and faith.
“Happy are those who live in your house, ever singing your praise.”
Moving to the deeper places,
Jeff
