Several Thank You’s are in order;

Thanks to the Worship Committee for planning the Pentecost worship celebration.  A back lit cross beautifully draped, doves folded in origami fashion, cupcakes with flames of the spirit and head bands mimicking the “tongues as of fire” all enhanced our worship Sunday.

Thanks to the Tech Team for purchasing a laptop for me.  This allows me to work from home in addition to working from the church.  Thanks to Jeff Miller for setting up the computer.

Thanks to Linda Ramage for shepherding the gleaning process.

Thanks to Robert & Cheryl Stone for allowing us to “glean” their fields and share the extra produce with senior citizens.

Thanks to Katie Haag for all her hard work shepherding the knitting class.

Thanks to Henry & Joann Hanna and Bob & Edna Thompson for planting flowers around the sign on High Street and in the pots by the Fellowship Hall door.

Thanks to Frances Feeback & family for continuing to work on the flower beds along Cypress Street.

Thanks to the Board for setting aside six thousand dollars for our own members effected  be the recent flood.

Thanks to the Week of Compassion for a $2500 grant to assist with flood recovery.

Thanks to Jim Lovell for leading a meeting of representatives from several Bourbon County Trust Funds, all dedicated to assisting senior citizens with health care needs. Due to his work the entities managing these funds will communicate with each other.

Thanks to the elders for their willingness to watch and learn from a webinar led by Rev. Bill McDonald.

Thanks to Angelino Mendez-Diez for his continued efforts to make our grounds look their best.

Thanks to the women who operate the Clothing Closet and who support the Disciples Women with the income from the sale of gently used clothing.

Thanks to Patty Fuller for being my second best friend and for all she does to make life better for everybody.  (Mostly for making me laugh).

Thanks to all the people who made Holy Humor Sunday–well, humorous.
