There's Work to be Done!

Vacation Bible School is a fun and rewarding experience for you and for the children we serve. With God's help and your involvement we can make a difference in the lives of many children this summer, our own and those from the community. Our faith journeys will come alive when children join us to explore God's Word in a Big Jungle Adventure. Throughout the week we encounter God's stories through the aide of several jungle animal friends. We'll spend our time together singing, praying, hearing stories, playing games and making crafts. To pull all these wonderful things together we have a lot of work to do!

    You can become a part of the excitement by helping out! We have lots of fun, creative things to do to get ready for our Big Jungle Adventure June 20th–24th. If you are willing and able to lend a hand with any of these projects, please come by and join in the fun.

• Thursday evening, June 9th, we will begin construction on our Tree of Life and other smaller one-dimensional trees with corrugated cardboard and wire.
• Wednesday, June 15th, 5-8 p.m. we will be creating a cave, cutting out grass forms from craft paper, building rocks, cutting out leaves for ferns and our jungle, and attaching flowers to our plant creations.
• Thursday, June 16th, 5-7 p.m. we will be making vines from craft paper and attaching our leaves and flowers to these creations.
• Saturday, June 18th, 10 a.m. we will paint our jungle canopy, river, and groundcover, piece together a Serengeti, form the wire web to hang the jungle canopy, set up our Tree of Life. (we need about 10 volunteers)
• Sunday, June 19th, immediately following worship we'll have a light lunch and then put all these pieces together to form our Big Jungle Adventure. (we need about 6-8 volunteers)

     No special skills are required to help. Just bring yourself, (maybe a pair of scissors) and an attitude willing to have fun and take direction. We have the plan (Huge thanks to Jeff Miller!) for this project. We just need you to help make it a reality. Join us for any or all the above dates to bring together a fantastic VBS setting in which we can all experience God in new and exciting ways this summer!
