Pentecost is here.

We gather this Sunday, wearing red, with red balloons

   festively decorating the sanctuary to remind us of the

   tongues as of fire which rested on the gathered

   believers in Jerusalem.

Youth will participate.

Folks may choose to join us on the journy that day

   by transferring their membership.

There will be a delicious cake made by Nina Parsons

  and we will gather afterwards in the fellowship hall

  to partake of it.

Pentecost gave birth to the body of Christ on earth,

   the institution infused with the Holy Spirit,

   energized to pursue the wonderful mystery

   of the faith, which blesses us and gives us purpose.

Let us gather to celebrate the church and all it has meant

   to us and all the promise it holds for our future.
